  • Oracle says the money will go to general corporate purposes, which may include capital spending and paying down debt

  • It had more than $125 billion in debt as of August 31

  • Last week it forecast at least $225 billion in revenue for fiscal 2030 and said it would limit new capital raises through fiscal 2030 to $20 billion, not counting debt refinancing

The drop puts the stock back below where it traded before the investor day and leaves it down more than 35% in 2026. Oracle has become a test case for the AI debt boom, as investors question how much borrowing it takes to build data centers.
