SpaceX stock closed Tuesday at $147.79, 9.5% above its $135 IPO price, on its 90th trading day as a public company.
After the close, the company beat revenue estimates with $14.58 billion in third-quarter revenue, up 161% from a year ago.
The path to that close was bumpy.
Shares closed at a record $201.80 on June 16, up 49.5% from the IPO price.
By August 5 they had closed as low as $108.27, or 19.8% below it.
At about $2 trillion, SpaceX is now worth more than Facebook's parent company, Meta.
The next test comes Thursday.
That's when up to 1.3 billion more shares held by pre-IPO shareholders become eligible for sale, worth about $192 billion at Tuesday's close.
Investors also got a fresh look at where SpaceX's revenue now comes from.
Thursday will show how many early holders want to cash out at these prices.
